• This level is awarded to businesses that score between 50 and 64 points on the BEE scorecard. These businesses are considered to be making progress towards compliance with BEE regulations but still have some way to go.

• This is the lowest level of BEE certification and is awarded to businesses that score below 50 points on the BEE scorecard. These businesses are considered to be non-compliant with BEE regulations and are seen as not actively promoting economic growth.
